WHITE SHELL CHOKER
Shell ini sudah ada di storage gw selama hampir 1 taon ...ckckckck .. ampe lupa kalo punya sesuatu yg seperti ini. Yah, gitu deh, *penyakit* para wire workers, ijo mata ngeliat barang baru, koleksi yg lama sering terlupakan ..he3x ....
Mencoba bereksperimen dengan kalung nikel-free, ini adalah project kalung choker pertama gw, dengan lilitan weaving yg sengaja dibuat sustain alias tidak bisa dilepas-lepas, terlilit indah di kalung choker nya ....mmm...susah yah menemukan bahasa Indonesia yg tepat untuk melukiskannya ...

DANCING FILIGREE BROOCH 2
Ini *temannya* Dancing Filigree Brooch yang sebelumnya. Kalo yang pertama hanya filigree dan coiling, untuk yang kedua ini gw variasikan sedikit dengan weaving di beberapa titik filigreenya. Mudah-mudahan jadinya lebih menarik dari yang pertama. Gimana menurut pendapat teman-teman?

REKOR MURI KALUNG TERPANJANG 2010
Atas undangan redaksi FASHION PRO (salah satu majalah yang membahas soal fashion dan accessories) dan sponsor dari SMARTY HANDS (salah satu supplier perlengkapan hobi), akhirnya KOMUNITAS WIRE JEWELRY INDONESIA, mendapatkan kesempatan untuk berpartisipasi dalam PEMECAHAN REKOR MURI PEMBUATAN KALUNG TERPANJANG, yang dilaksanakan di LA PIAZZA KELAPA GADING sebagai bagian dari kegiatan tahunan FASHION MART 2010 yang diadakan oleh FASHION PRO.
Setelah diskusi secara rinci dengan berbagai pihak, akhirnya disepakati untuk membuat kalung dengan 14 pendant/bandul dengan touch wire sementara jenis kalungnya sendiri adalah tipe STRINGING dengan batu-batuan asli yg indah luar biasa.
Untuk pembuatan 14 pendant/bandul ini, telah terpilih beberapa anggota WJI sebagai berikut : Annie Nugraha, Lucita Rembeth, Heri Rusmiyati, Orlane Djohan, Yustina Ambarsari, Sita Wijayanti, Asha Hara, Amy, Devi Mustika Rini, Enno Aksyamala, Dhini Sarbini, Inge Liana, Diana Penyami dan Iva.
Alhamdulillah, setelah melewati waktu sekitar 2 1/2 jam, pembuatan kalung selesai dilaksanakan dan berakhir dengan ukuran 11,55m yang melebihi target sebelumnya 10m.
Terimakasih saya ucapkan kepada seluruh anggota TIM yang terlibat, baik itu TIM WIRE WORKERS dan TIM STRINGING yg berada di bawah koordinasi Ibu Tati Natasuminta, juga kepada FASHION PRO dan SMARTY HANDS yang telah mempercayakan kami, komunitas WJI, untuk terlibat dalam event yg sangat berharga ini.
Semoga akan menjadi kenangan yg terindah dalam hidup, baik bagi para peserta maupun penyelenggara.

Alhamdulillah, puji syukur kehadirat Allah SWT, MEDAN WIRE JEWELRY WORKSHOP 2 akhirnya terlaksana dengan sukses dan sesuai rencana. Berkat evaluasi dari WORKSHOP 1 yang diadakan pada April 2010 di Wong Solo, banyak masukan-masukan dan ide-ide baru yang akhirnya bisa tertuangkan di periode ke-2 ini. Selain tempat yang jauh lebih nyaman dari sebelumnya, masa dan komponen promosi yang jauh lebih siap, serta tim-tim/personil-personil pendukung yang jauh lebih banyak, WORKSHOP 2 80% terlaksana seperti yang diharapkan.
Kedatangan peserta-peserta baru di kelas basic, yang totally new-comer di dunia wire jewelry, plus beberapa sahabat-sahabat lama yang dulu berpartisipasi dalam WORKSHOP 1 dan sekarang sudah semakin mumpuni teknik-teknik dan karya-karyanya, semakin memompa semangat saya untuk menyebarkan ilmu perkawatan untuk semua sahabat di Medan. Antusiasme dan ketekunan yang mereka tebarkan membuat WORKSHOP 2 ini jadi semakin berarti dan insyaallah mampu membuka pandangan baru bagi semua yang hadir tentang dunia perhiasan dari kawat, serta semoga ilmu/pengetahuan yang sudah saya tularkan akan membawa manfaat bagi seluruh peserta. Amin.

Dari 20orang peserta yang pada awalnya mendaftar, akhirnya hanya tersisa 8orang yang benar-benar bisa ikutan. So, rencana yang tadinya ber-bis-ria berubah jadi naik PREGIO kapasitas 12seats. Tapi demi kenyamanan duduk selama perjalanan plus *modal bujur* para peserta yang hampir sebagian besar *extra large* he3x ... mobil hanya akan diisi oleh 8orang ibu-ibu yang semuanya notabene *dendam kesumat* ngeliat sarang dan gunungnya druzy di Pacitan. Mantab!!!

BAZAAR PESONA UKM - CITOS

Sekali lagi menimba ilmu dari pameran/bazaar. Tempat baru yang blom pernah dicoba sebelumnya, yang katanya jadi rebutan para pedagang ..ha3x. Alhamdulillah dapat tawaran dari Ibu Tati, dan dapat dukungan dari teman-teman TRIO MEDAN (Aline, Dhinok dan Wiwiet) ... jadilah bazaarnya keroyokan.
CITOS kebetulan saat itu rame, karena selain memang jadi tempat nongkrong alias kongkow2 sambil makan2 di sederetan resto2 enak, pas juga ada pameran buku dari ERLANGGA dan ada NONTON BARENG world cup 2010.
Ini foto2 yg berhasil dijepret secara amatiran, tapi mudah2an cukup mewakili untuk dilihat-lihat .....
